Barclays eight-figure investment for the FA Women’s Super League is a record for women’s sport in the UK. The sponsorship investment will transform the future of the game. The FA Girls School Partnership supports women’s football at a grassroots level. To kick off the season, Barclays sponsored GIF booths at the Manchester derby between City and United and the London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham. The Women’s Super League’s GIF software is a programme that sports a custom design specifically towards their brand. It invited participants to type their own position, height, age and name before sharing by email. The images created in the booths were then displayed on the big screens at the stadiums during half time.
