Megabooth’s Festival Journey thus far
Megabooth’s festival journey kicked off in 2008 with the Taxi Photo Booth at T in the Park. Following the T in the Park stint, the taxi tour went on to Global Gathering, Lovebox, Glade, and Standon Calling to name a few. Meanwhile, our Ice Cream Sound System van made appearances at festivals all over the UK too…RIP.
We were commissioned in 2012 by Grace and Lola to create a custom installation in a Volkswagen Camper Van that culminated at Bestival.
In 2013/14 our little green bug captured the festival revelers hearts at Latitude Festival. Brands including Google, the BBC, TalkTalk, and Samsung commissioned us to create a photo opportunity at House Festival in London.
Samsung and Vodafone stopped their promotional tour bus at Creamfields festival. The bus featured a custom photo installation using the technology from their smartphones to a wireless printing station.
In 2017 we returned to House Festival with their sponsors YouTube. At the festival, we brought our 360-degree live experience in video mode to post on the video-sharing network!
Recent work includes collaborations with mobile network ‘3’ at Longitude Festival. They created an area at the festival that included our projector facility in their immersive ‘boogie booth’ container.
We are back at We Are FSTVL this year with our Hippie Van and Jungle Taxi. If you’re heading to Upminister for the bank holiday weekend don’t forget to visit us for a souvenir festival photo.
