Star Wars x Uniqlo artist series – James Jarvis event for 40th anniversary of Star Wars
2017 marks the 40th anniversary of Star Wars’ initial release and to celebrate Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo unveiled their exciting new Star Wars x Uniqlo Artist collection by holding a special evening on May 4th 2017 with James Jarvis – one of the designers of Star Wars™ Artist series.
Uniqlo hosted the event at their flagship 311 Oxford Street store on the premium Lifewear floor. The evening was filled with Star Wars™ themed activities, refreshments and even a competition to win a life size Death Trooper statue. Designer artist James Jarvis was invited to talk about his Star Wars™ pieces and visitors had the opportunity to grab a picture in front of one of his comical designs.
London based artist James Jarvis is a graphic designer and his work includes cartoons, comics, sculpture, printmaking, with a particular interest in an art, language, philosophy and skateboarding.

The Star Wars photo booth inspired by artist James Jarvis is part of a long-standing collaboration we have with the fashion brand and their experiential agency Exposure. Previous events include the Tate Late series with Tate Modern and a public event to unveil their Lego UT collection at the beginning of 2016.
