16 Jul Lambeth Country Show
Lambeth Country Show – Enchanted Forest Taxi Photo Booth
The Lambeth Country Show returns to Brockwell Park this weekend (18th and 19th July) and boasts an eclectic line up that celebrates the very best of the city and countryside. Organised by EventLambeth, The Lambeth Country Show is now in it’s 41st year and continues the philosophy of a traditional country fair.
Alongside the distinct South London urban vibe at the Lambeth Country Show, visitors can also expect horticultural shows, sheep dog & owl displays, home grown vegetable and flower competitions, plus numerous craft & food stalls and their very own on site farm. Over the two days the show will host a unique line up of music, from dub and afro-beat to ska and soul, bands include soul disco act Odyssey, UK funk band The PB Underground, soul outfit The Atlantic Soul Orchestra and many more. Sunday welcomes back roots reggae day to the Main Stage and the Village Green stage will showcase an exciting mix of emerging local talent playing acoustic folk, soul and pop, along with steel orchestras and samba bands.
This year’s theme the Lambeth Country Show will be celebrating the ‘Festival of Love 2015’ in line with the Southbank’s Centre’s summer festival of the same name. There will be a giant ‘Love’ installation on site as well as love themed activities and competitions. Between the love, countryside displays, eclectic music line up and South London urban vibes will be our enchanted forest taxi photo booth – a regular at festivals and outdoor shows all over the UK in 2015.
Entry to the Lambeth Country show remains free and visitors can make donations on entry or at designated donation points across the site. A-Z Festival Guides will be available for a suggested donation of £1 and will be the only place to find out full line-up and timings, as well as a handy map of the event.
