Brand Experience – Davidoff Cool Water Wave at Boardmasters 2017
Davidoff returned to Boardmasters Festival 2017 to celebrate the launch of their fragrance Davidoff Cool Water Wave.
The annual surf, skate and music festival takes place cross two stunning locations on the Cornish Coastline. The Surf Festival was held at the home of UK surfing, Fistral Beach, and the picturesque Watergate Bay hosted an eclectic line up of music to a sold out sun kissed crowd. Official partner to the festival, Davidoff, created activations at both festival sites, their space at the sun drenched Fistral Beach included a customised photo pod experience to help the brand engage with visitors.
To celebrate the launch of their Cool Water Wave fragrance the eye catching stand featured a VR opportunity powered by SamsungGearVR. The VR Catch The Wave experience provided festival goers with the fully immersive surfing experience of getting barrelled at the notorious teahupoo in Tahiti.
The stand was designed with the sea and surfing at the heart of it. An oversized electric blue wave on one side and a rustic beach hut inspired space on the other – all brought together with a stunning sea covered floor. The open air photo pod fitted seamlessly into its surrounding as it appeared to rise up from the sea (covered floor) like a majestic wave. The interactive pod provided festival revellers with the opportunity to be part of the campaign.
The festival ran from Wednesday 9 – Sunday 13 August, with the Fistral Beach surfing action kicking off from Wednesday. Tickets for 2018 are on sale now via the website.
