First bit of inspiration comes from 29Rooms by Refinery29. Their funhouse of style, culture and technology is one of the most exciting installations we’ve seen in years. Founded in 2005 in New York City, The digital media company latest concept 29rooms is 29 installations in a parking lot in downtown Los Angeles. It’s a mishmash of art, marketing and corporate sponsorship – with a whiff of socially conscious activism – all massaged into branded content by Refinery29.
Their creative spaces have been brought to life by a group of global artists and visionaries. 29 individually curated rooms offered multi sensory playground to explore, create and play. A celebration of the transformative power of creativity.
Refinery 29 leveraged a social first approach to the SAG Awards red carpet show – stars stepped into a beautifully lit studios experience in a iridescent, kaleidoscope inspired backdrop. Celebrities including John Legend and Nicole Kidman expressed themselves from all angles in order create shareable art for their fans to squabble over on social media. It became an instant Instagram hit that led to 30.9K social engagements on the SAG-A-GRAMS alone.
In our quest to find the perfect creative space we found artist Alexa Meade. Alexa applies paint directly to models and the surrounding scene, creating the illusion that people and places are inside the world of a 2D painting. We love her slogan SEEING MORE DIMENSIONS – IN COLOR, AND LIFE.
