Boomerang Inspiration – tips for capturing the perfect GIF for sharing
Boomerang inspiration comes from Barbour at London Fashion Week, Buzzfeed at the Taste of London Festival, ASOS and Jo Malone’s brand conference.
Mastering a Boomerang worthy of a social media post is no mean feat. It may seem straightforward but capturing a decent semi-entertaining Boomerang can actually be a bit of a challenge. A well-timed head shake, air kiss or jump are crucial but adding layers to your photo will give your audience an excuse to revisit your Boomerang over and over again.

Barbour – London Fashion Week Men’s Presentation
Barbour previewed their vibrant new collection at the ICA space on The Mall in London for Fashion Week. The presentation showcased the men’s collection featuring contrasting coloured panels and bold statement pieces – a theme that inspired their customised photo experience. Barbour built an industrial red backdrop with LED strip lights to add more depth to the Boomerangs. We added a gel to the lens to create a red effect on the photos.
Boomerangs were an integral part of Barbour preview London Fashion Week showcase in 2017 at the Vinyl Factory.
ASOS 18th Birthday
ASOS changed the face of shopping 18 years ago and to celebrate they are hosting internal summer events to celebrate the milestone. A personalised ASOS background and oversized birthday cake produced our favourite Boomerangs from the online retail giant thus far.

Have your cake it and GIF it. Better?
I’m here all week.
Buzzfeed Tasty at Taste London
Buzzfeed’s Tasty division produces delicious snack-sized ideas and recipes you want to share. Their mouth-watering videos receive one of the highest numbers of shares on Instagram and Facebook.
Tasty’s Boomerang Booth at Taste of London Festival allowed visitors to recreate playful cooking scenes. It’s not advised to cook in this nature, but for the purpose of the Boomerang, we just love it.
If you start to think of your Boomerangs as short films with different detailing that people can catch if they’re paying attention, then that’s what separates inspired Boomerang creators from the rest.
