WhatsOnStage Awards After Party at Radisson Blu Edwardian Leicester Square
The WhatsOnStage Awards is the only major UK theatre awards in which, the audience are the judges. The 16th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards took place at Prince of Wales theatre (home of Book of Mormon) and saw Benedict Cumberbatch and Nicole Kidman take home the best actor awards for their performances in Hamlet and Photograph 51 respectively.
Judi Dench was also one of the winners for her performance as Paulina in The Winter’s Tale –Kenneth Branagh, who co-directed Dench in The Winter’s Tale was presented the special award: the Equity Award for Services to Theatre. Other winners included Gypsy, that took home 4 awards, Kinky Boots for best new musical and Les Miserables fought off stiff competition to win best West End Show, for the full list of winners click here.
The official #WOSAwards after party took place at the elegant Radisson Blu Edwardian that overlooks Leicester Square in the heart of the West End – the Radisson Blu Edwardian was also an official sponsor for the award ceremony. The star-studded guestlist enjoyed a night off from their grueling theatre schedule to share a glass of champagne and grab a photo moment with their peers from the WhatOnStage sponsored open-air photo pod.
